Wake up

Prologue 5/6: Missconception

....What was that about?!
......This is all a puzzle....How will I solve it is another one in itself.

...
...Hmm....
Why do I feel such Nostalgia to all of this...?
It's almost Frustrating...

Just standing aimlessly wasn't enough for him, he decided to walk around town again, hopefully to find Emy, but to not react the way he did before.

Going back and forth, back and forth....Ah well...Either I manage to solve this or I just relax for a bit around here...

As expected, Emy was now gone, and the Pokemon were widespread around the whole place. A few gave him an odd look every now and then, and he could hear them mumbling 'the strange snivy' and whatnot. Others just took a glance and then ignored.

Of all people, me who never shows his emotions is now glared at for a public outburst. Hmm....Makes me wonder what things can I remember and what others can I not...Ah, there goers my tongue again, it's that scent once more. Maybe taking another look won't hurt...

Simon made his way to the Kecleon stall once more, but stopped halfway through to notice something odd. It was an arguably cute little Eevee which was walking in a rather suspicious manner around the stall, and Simon could see how it leaped and grabbed a Ribbon of sorts with it's Teeth, then looked around, and walked almost normally once he was out of the Kcleon's sight. Simon followed quietly to see where was it headed.

I highly doubt that Eevee paid for it...It looks familiar, too....Hmm....It's a...Mobile Scarf...Which allows the holder to pass through walls....I wonder how I know this, if I'm not from this world...And...How can i tell if it is from this world or not...?

Simon kept following with as much stealth as possible, as the Eevee was walking by an skull-shaped house, Simon tried to hide behind everything he could. On his way, however, a young Seedot right behind him started crying in front of a Shiftry, presumeably it's mother, and the Eevee turned, just to see Simon right behind him. "...!" The evee was shocked, and made his way into the Skull house with as much might as he possibly could, Simon ran behind him.

Oi, he's quick! Where is he headed?

Inside, a Marowak was just about to greet Eevee, before it ran right past him and went up some stairs on the right section of the maze, "Wait! You must--" didn't get to finish the Marowak right as Simon also climbed the stairs, following the Eevee.

Is this...a Corridor? Where is this going...? I see many doors, but where did it--Ah, he just went through the red door!

Simon followed as he went past the doorway and down some stairs, to reach what seemed like a boiling hot, rocky place.

Oh my...it's...Hot in here....Phew...Alright, where'd that eevee....

Simon could only see as the chastised Eevee ran straight through the wall due to the Ribbon it was holding. "You won't last there for long...The ribbon uses your own Physical energy! You'll have to come out eventually." Simon said, to his own amazement.
He stood besides the wall and waited, but heard a few steps right behind him, upon turning he saw a growling Poochyena, which was rather bothered by his prescence. "H-Hello there." Simon muttered, as before him, the Poochyena laped and attempted to bite him, Simon just moved aside and avoided it, it wasn't too hard, but he didn't wish to fight. "Th-There's no call for that! Will you st--" The Poochyena took the chance and bit his arm, it was quite painful. "Ok, you asked for it!" Simon exclaimed as he, again, took out his vines and used them as whips, hitting Poochyena harshly, thing the Poochyena replied to by running away in fear, Simon felt quite bad, but it was self-defence . By the time he turned, Eevee was alredy making his way through the opposite direction of the corridor Poochyena went towards, Simon ran after him.

While in the corridor, Eevee could be seen making use of it's arguably smaller size and jumping over a Magmar to make his way past him, the Magmar had been enraged, but turned at Simon for another way to unleash it's fury.

Fire beats grass...Grass is burnt by fire...Grass fgalls to Ashes...And now, I am nothing but a Grass Snake, whilst he is able to scorch me in little to no time...

Simon took a few steps back, somehow determined to get the scarf back from Eevee just for the sake of returning it to the shop, it was more of a personal purpose, rather, he wanted to prove himself he could do it, yet his fear towards fire was getting the best of him.
Magmar started shooting a Flamethrower from his Mouth, Simon moved back as fast as he could to avoid it to then, with a mighty leap, jump towards Magmar as fast as he could, his Tail then glowed with a green shine, and with what seemed like instinct again, struck the fire-type with it after rolling in Midair, Magmar was not weak against Grass, but this move had struck his weak spot, causing by definition a critical hit, Magmar was knocked to the floor unconcious.

That was....Easier than I thought it would be...Well...I think i got lucky there.

Simon kept following until he had cornered the Eevee at the end of the Passage, and there were no walls around them, but rather abysses leading to a painful end, except for an small wall right behind Eevee, he procceeded to enter through it, but the ribbon kept using more of it's energy.

He's going to faint if he stays like that...

"Give me the ribbon, Eevee, if you do, I won't harm you." He said with arms crossed as he waited for the Eevee to come out, but he didn't.

He's stubborn....I wonder why is he fighting so much to keep the scarf...Why does he want it in the first place? Hmm...I wonder if h--

After an small, green light, Eevee was shot out of the wall towards Simon, hitting him and harming him slightly, but fainted, seemingly teleporting away once he did, leaving the Scarf behind. Simon grabbed it and looked at it intrigued, but made his way back out.

I could have sworn there were stairs leading up right here...

Simon was puzzled to see the staircase he came from was gone, and looked around restlessly for an exit, only to find absolutely none, but another set fo staircases leading down, he took them.

Down int he next floor, he found ANOTHER set leading down, he wasn't sure about going further down or going back up, the staircases leading back up were gone, however.
Simon made his way down again only to find a different kind of room, it had a well-adorned tile at it's end, right before the wall. He started walking towards it, only to be Intyerrupted by three enourmous Pokemon; A Magmotar and two Magmars, none happy to see him.

I'm dead.

Simon didn't even bother fighting back their flamethrowers as he realised the staircases back were also gone, and Ran all around the room, never allowed to set foot in the Pad at it's end.

Help, help, help, help, help

"Heeeeeeeeeeelp!!" He yelled in panic, as before his very eyes, a mighty Flmaethorwer reached him, it was extremely painful, he soon found himself without energy.

T-That was.......urgh....

...Uuh...?

....Where am I this time?

...Am I dead? is this coudl it feels like to be dead?

"....Up..."

Up? Who's there?

"Wake up!!
Simon stood up from the floor as he saw the MArowak from before, and himself at the entrance to the place where he had just been.
"What...What happened? I thought..."
"You fainted." Said Marowak, "When anyone faints at my Dojo, they get to teleport right here and healed from any wounds.". Simon looked around and realised he still had the Mobile Scarf from the Eevee, it was almost as if nothing had happened, yet the idea of those Magmars and Magmotar made him shudder.
"I-I see...thank you..." Simon said while stumbling a bit, "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Marowak demanded as Simon stood up.

I did something wrong, didn't I?

"You entered without handing any items beforehand! You broke the rules of the dojo and thus must pay a fine! And you better do the same for that Eevee friend of yours who entered without handing anything either!" Said Marowak with a glare, as Simon was still aware he didn't have a single piece of whatever their currency was, this amde him wonder about what he could remember and what he couldn't again, but decided to focus on his current problem instead.

A-Alright..Think of something, there must be a way to explain to him that.....Hmm...

"Well, s-sir, you ssssee, When I came here, I wasn't carrying a single item with me...And I was after that particular Eevee since he had stolen that Scarf from someone else, I obtained it while I was down there, It was the only thing I carried, but I legitimately entered without carrying anything." Simon explained the best he could, the Marowak made an odd expression, not entirely beliving him, but realising what he said amde sense.
"Next time, I'll make sure to brief you before allowing you inside, but I'll let you go for once. Did I make myself clear?" He asked in an intimidating manner, Simon just nodded nervously as afterwards he made his way outside.

Close call....Ok, now to return this Scarf to the Kecleon shopkeepers.

Simon arrived at the shop, "Excuse me, did you two by any chance lose a Mobile Scarf?" HE asked, as he proudly showed the scarf to them. "Oi! Thief! You steal from us and now expect us to pay you for it, what kind of ins--" Started yelling the green kecleon until he was interrupted by the Purple one, "H-Hey! Let him explain ebfore jumping into conclusions! You always do that before costumers even get a chance to explain." He tried to comfort his brother, after that day, Simon was scared even by the Kecleon, "W-Well, I saw how an Eevee took it a while ago and decided to follow it...H-Here's the scarf, I don't expect anything in exchange for it.."

To be perfectly honest, I DID expect something, yet I don't want to seem suspicious at all anymore.

"Thank you, sir! See, brother? he wasn't a Thief after all!" Explained the Kecleon as he grabbed the Scarf, the Green one was rather embarassed, but arms crossed and rather angry.

What some do to keep their pride. Here I swallowed mine whole...

Simon nodded as he made his way back to Oshawott's house. It was alredy nighttime, and inside, Oshawott seemed to be preparing a bag, of sorts, he placed something on it, then went to the drawers for something else, then placed it inside it, and he kept going like that.

Wouldn't it be easier to move the bag closer to the drawers?

"Simon! I have been looking for you all day! There's something I wanted to talk to you about!" Oshawott said, excited, having obviously forgotten about Simon's "Episode" earlier today, he was amazed of OShawott's tolerance. "What is it?" Asked Simon, as he closed the door behind him and walked towards Oshawott. Oshawott stoped storing things and walked towards Simon too, rather excited, "The name for our Exploration team!"

I had forgotten about that alredy...Today's adventure was quite nerve-peaking though, and I imagine being in an exploration team is all about doing these every day. Which makes me wonder, why does Oshawott want to become one? He doesn't seem to be the kind of pokemon that likes to face against scary or gigantic enemies in any way whatsoever.

"Hmm...." Pondered Simon, "Something that would Symbolize what we're after, of course." Simon said in an attempt to get Oshawott to explain why did he want to form a rescue team.
"Well, I seek adventure, but a team name that goes by that would be more than cliche." Saidf Oshawott, Simon agreed. "Hmm...Something that symbolises us, then." He said, as Oshawott also thought about it.
"well, we can think it while we fall asleep, we'll decide tomorrow. Alright?" Asked Simon to Oshawott, who wanted to decide alredy, was quite dissapointed, but he didn't know Simon was exhausted from that day, he agreed with him anyways.

....

....

....

This again...

...It's getting more and more frequent...

'You alredy found her. Why not talking to her?'

The voice is more clear this time...

'And can hear you.'

I didn't know you could. Who are you?

'I am not you. yet you say I am. You should stop that.'

...Huh?

...Hello?

Gone again...

To be continued.
